- 1 bag microwave popcorn natural flavored
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- patriotic sprinkles to taste
Pop your bag of microwave popcorn according to the package instructions. Remove from microwave and pour into a large bowl, checking for unpopped kernels.
In a medium saucepan, melt the 1/4 cup butter over low heat. Add 4 cups mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popped popcorn. Using a rubber spatula, gently fold to coat all the popcorn evenly.
Sprinkle in your desired amount of patriotic sprinkles while the mixture is still warm. Gently fold to distribute evenly.
Spread the coated popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool. Once set, break into pieces and serve.
