Patriotic Marshmallow Popcorn

- Large microwave-safe bowl
- Medium Saucepan
- Rubber spatula
- Baking Sheet
Ingredients
- 1 bag microwave popcorn natural flavored
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 4 cups mini marshmallows
- patriotic sprinkles to taste
Instructions
- Pop your bag of microwave popcorn according to the package instructions. Remove from microwave and pour into a large bowl, checking for unpopped kernels.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the 1/4 cup butter over low heat. Add 4 cups mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
- Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popped popcorn. Using a rubber spatula, gently fold to coat all the popcorn evenly.
- Sprinkle in your desired amount of patriotic sprinkles while the mixture is still warm. Gently fold to distribute evenly.
- Spread the coated popcorn onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool. Once set, break into pieces and serve.
