Ingredients
  

Canned Peaches

  • 1 29 oz can canned peach slices in heavy syrup do not drain

Flavoring

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon ground nutmeg

Cake Mix

  • 1 15.25 oz box yellow cake mix
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter melted

Serving Suggestion

  • vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: In a 9×13 inch baking dish, pour the entire can of peach slices along with the syrup.
  • Step 3: Drizzle the vanilla extract over the peaches, then sprinkle in the ground cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Step 4: Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the peaches without stirring.
  • Step 5: Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  • Step 6: Bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  • Step 7: Let it cool for about 10 minutes and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding almond extract or chopped nuts. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days.
