Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet
  • Rolling Pin
  • Brush
  • Pizza cutter or knife

Ingredients

  • 1 (8-oz) can pizza dough I recommend using Pillsbury thin crust for the best texture
  • 36 slices pepperoni classic choice that adds a deliciously spicy kick
  • 9 slices mozzarella cheese melted cheese is essential for that gooey goodness
  • 2 Tbsp melted garlic butter adds a rich flavor that complements the rolls perfectly
  • Italian seasoning a dash, brings out all the fantastic flavors
  • grated parmesan cheese for an extra touch of flavor and texture

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure the Pepperoni Rolls bake evenly and become golden brown.
  • Open the can of pizza dough and carefully unroll it onto a lightly floured surface. If using Pillsbury thin crust, it should already be rolled into a rectangle shape.
  • Evenly distribute the pepperoni slices over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Then layer the mozzarella cheese slices on top of the pepperoni.
  • Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log shape, encasing the pepperoni and cheese inside. Pinch the seams to seal the roll well.
  • Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, slice the rolled dough into approximately 1 to 2-inch pieces. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Mix the melted garlic butter with a sprinkle of Italian seasoning in a small bowl. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
  • Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the rolls for added flavor and a delightful crust.
  • Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce like marinara or ranch.

Notes

  • Customize the filling by substituting pepperoni with veggies for a vegetarian option.
  • Try different cheeses like cheddar or provolone for unique flavors.
  • Store rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one day or refrigerate for longer freshness.
  • Freeze leftover rolls wrapped tightly for up to 3 months; reheat directly from frozen.
  • Assemble rolls ahead and refrigerate; bring to room temperature before baking for best results.
