Burger Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Burger Buns
  • 4 tablespoons Salted Butter, softened
  • 1.5 pounds Ground Beef (80/20 blend) For the best juiciness
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Beef - Begin by placing the ground beef in a large mixing bowl. Add kosher salt and ground black pepper to the beef and gently mix.
  • Step 2: Form the Patties - Divide the beef into equal portions, shaping each into a patty about ¾ inch thick with a slight indent in the center.
  • Step 3: Preheat the Grill - Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Step 4: Butter the Buns - Spread softened salted butter on the cut sides of each bun.
  • Step 5: Grill the Burgers - Place the patties on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Step 6: Add the Cheese - Place a slice of American cheese on each patty about a minute before they are done.
  • Step 7: Toast the Buns - Toast the buttered buns cut side down on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Step 8: Assemble Your Burgers - Start with the bottom half of the toasted bun, add the cheesy patty, and top with your favorite condiments.

Notes

Don’t overmix the meat. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness. Let your burgers rest for a few minutes after grilling.
