  • 2 cans Crushed Pineapple with Juice 20 oz each
  • ½ cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 package Yellow Cake Mix 15.25 oz
  • ¾ cup Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 cup Raw Pecans, chopped
  • to taste Vanilla Ice Cream for serving

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  • Step 3: Pour the crushed pineapple with juice into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Step 4: Sprinkle the light brown sugar over the pineapple.
  • Step 5: Dump the yellow cake mix on top of the pineapple and brown sugar, spreading it evenly.
  • Step 6: Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
  • Step 7: Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.
  • Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Step 9: Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Don’t drain the pineapple! The juice keeps the cake moist. You can also add shredded coconut for extra flavor.
