Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure even baking and a lovely golden color.
Gently clean the mushroom caps with a damp cloth and carefully remove the stems. Optionally, chop the stems finely to mix into the filling.
In a small mixing bowl, combine pizza sauce, chopped pepperoni, grated Monterey Jack cheese, and chopped mushroom stems if using.
Using a spoon, generously fill each mushroom cap with the pizza filling mixture.
