  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Melted
  • 10 ounces Mini Marshmallows
  • as needed Orange Food Coloring Gel
  • 5 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
  • 5 Pretzel Rod Twists Cut in half
  • as needed Green Fondant or Green Frosting

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat until completely liquid.
  • Step 2: Add the mini marshmallows to the pot and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.
  • Step 3: Add orange food coloring gel to the melted marshmallow mixture until desired color is achieved.
  • Step 4: Stir in the Rice Krispie cereal until well-coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • Step 5: Let the mixture cool slightly, then shape into pumpkin shapes about the size of a small orange.
  • Step 6: Insert half of a pretzel rod into the top of each pumpkin shape to create the stem.
  • Step 7: Decorate with green fondant or frosting to create leaves or vines around the base of the pretzel stems.
  • Step 8: Allow the treats to cool completely before serving, ideally for 30 minutes to an hour.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days.
