Instructions
Step 1: Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat until completely liquid.
Step 2: Add the mini marshmallows to the pot and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.
Step 3: Add orange food coloring gel to the melted marshmallow mixture until desired color is achieved.
Step 4: Stir in the Rice Krispie cereal until well-coated with the marshmallow mixture.
Step 5: Let the mixture cool slightly, then shape into pumpkin shapes about the size of a small orange.
Step 6: Insert half of a pretzel rod into the top of each pumpkin shape to create the stem.
Step 7: Decorate with green fondant or frosting to create leaves or vines around the base of the pretzel stems.
Step 8: Allow the treats to cool completely before serving, ideally for 30 minutes to an hour.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days.
