Ingredients
  

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cups mini marshmallows divided
  • 0.5 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 11 oz Kraft caramels 1 package, unwrapped
  • 1.5 tablespoons coarse sea salt

Instructions
 

  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the 3 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add 4 cups of mini marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in 1/2 cup of smooth peanut butter until fully combined with the melted marshmallow mixture.
  • Gently fold in the remaining 2 cups of mini marshmallows and 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal until well coated with the marshmallow mixture. Be careful not to crush the cereal too much.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with butter or cooking spray. Pour the mixture into the pan and press down evenly using a spatula or moistened hands to prevent sticking.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 11 oz of unwrapped Kraft caramels with 2 tablespoons of heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until caramel is fully melted and smooth.
  • Pour the melted caramel over the pressed Rice Krispie mixture in the pan. Spread evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle 1 1/2 tablespoons of coarse sea salt over the caramel.
  • Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes until the caramel is set. Cut into squares or rectangles and enjoy.
