- 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes diced
- 8 oz Cream Cheese softened to room temperature
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 2 teaspoons Minced Garlic in Oil
- 1 cup Mayo
- 1 teaspoon Hot Sauce
- 1 pinch Salt and Pepper to taste
- ½ teaspoon Cayenne optional
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
- 16 oz Crab Meat
- 3 Green Onions chopped
Build Seafood Dip Step by Step
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon zest, minced garlic, hot sauce, salt, pepper, and cayenne (if using). Using an electric mixer or whisk, blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and Old Bay seasoning until well incorporated. This adds a savory depth to your dip that will have everyone coming back for more.
Gently fold in the crab meat and diced cherry tomatoes using a spatula. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much; you want to maintain some chunks for texture.
Finally, sprinkle the chopped green onions into the dip and mix lightly to distribute them evenly throughout.
Transfer the Seafood Dip to your serving dish and cover it with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully. Serve with your favorite dippers and enjoy!
- For a spicier dip, increase the amount of hot sauce or cayenne pepper, or add diced jalapeños.
- You can substitute crab meat with shrimp, lobster, or canned tuna for different seafood variations.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days for easy meal prep.
- To serve warm, bake the dip in an oven-safe dish at 350°F until bubbly and golden.
- Try swapping mayonnaise with Greek yogurt or light sour cream for a healthier version.
