Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the ciabatta loaf in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet, cut side up.
Step 2: In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create the garlic butter.
Step 3: Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the ciabatta bread.
Step 4: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and sharp cheddar generously over the garlic butter.
Step 5: Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 6: Prepare the Sloppy Joe filling while the garlic bread is baking. Use leftover Sloppy Joe mixture or make a quick filling.
Step 7: Once the garlic bread is done, spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture generously over the cheesy bread.
Step 8: Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to meld the flavors together.
Step 9: Let cool for a minute, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
Use fresh ciabatta for best texture. Don't skimp on garlic butter for flavor. Customize cheeses to your liking.
