Equipment

  • Microwave-safe Bowl
  • Parchment Paper
  • Baking Sheet
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate chips use your favorite type of chocolate; semi-sweet is a classic choice
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows these little puffs add that signature s'mores touch
  • 4 whole graham crackers broken into small pieces to provide crunch and flavor

Instructions

  • Start by placing your chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. This usually takes about 1-2 minutes, depending on your microwave.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will prevent the bark from sticking and make cleanup a breeze.
  • Once your chocolate is melted, remove it from the microwave and add the mini marshmallows and broken graham crackers. Stir gently until everything is evenly coated in chocolate.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Use your spatula to spread it out evenly, ensuring that the marshmallows and graham crackers are distributed throughout.
  • Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours, or until the bark is completely firm.
  • Once set, remove the baking sheet from the fridge. Lift the bark out of the pan using the edges of the parchment paper, and break it into pieces.
  • Your Smores Bark is now ready to be devoured! Serve it immediately or store it in an airtight container for later.

Notes

  • Store the bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week or refrigerate for up to two weeks.
  • Try substituting chocolate chips with white chocolate or butterscotch chips for a unique flavor.
  • Mix in nuts, toffee bits, or dried fruit to add texture and variety.
  • Be careful not to overheat the chocolate to avoid burning; melt in intervals.
  • Let the bark fully set in the refrigerator for clean breaks and easier handling.
