Equipment

  • Mixer
  • Baking Sheets
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Spoon or cookie scoop
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chunks quality
  • 1 8-ounce bag Snickers Bites chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures your cookies bake evenly and achieve the perfect texture.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cold, cubed unsalted butter with granulated sugar and light brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the two large eggs and the pure vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Beat until fully combined and smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda to evenly distribute the leavening agents.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; you want a soft dough.
  • Gently fold in the semisweet chocolate chips and chopped Snickers Bites using a spatula, ensuring even distribution throughout the dough.
  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving enough space between each cookie to allow for spreading.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may appear slightly underbaked but will firm up as they cool.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use cold butter to prevent cookies from spreading too much during baking.
  • Substitute Snickers Bites with other chocolate-caramel-nut candy bars like Milky Way or Twix for variety.
  • Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
