  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Storage container

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons cilantro minced
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons Southwest Seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Stepwise Method: Southwest Dressing

  • Gather all the ingredients. Ensure cilantro is fresh and finely minced for maximum flavor.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add 1 cup sour cream and 1 cup mayonnaise. Whisk together until smooth and creamy.
  • Gradually pour in 1 cup milk while whisking. Continue whisking until well combined and desired consistency is reached. Add more milk if a thinner dressing is preferred.
  • Add 2 teaspoons minced cilantro, 3 tablespoons lime juice, and 3 tablespoons Southwest Seasoning. Mix until evenly distributed.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Start with a small pinch and adjust as preferred.
  • Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust thickness by adding more milk for a thinner consistency.
  • Balance tartness by adding more mayo or sour cream if needed.
  • Enhance flavor by adding more lime juice or Southwest seasoning to taste.
  • For a milder cilantro flavor, add extra sour cream to mellow it out.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week; stir before use.
