Spicy Grape Meatballs Cooking Guide

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the grape jelly and chili sauce. Stir until the jelly is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. This should take about 5 minutes.
  • Once the sauce is well combined, add cayenne pepper to the mixture. Start with 1/2 teaspoon and taste. If you prefer it spicier, feel free to add more. Stir well to incorporate the heat evenly throughout the sauce.
  • Place the frozen meatballs into your slow cooker. Pour the grape jelly and chili sauce mixture over the meatballs, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. This allows the meatballs to absorb the flavors of the sauce while warming through completely.
  • Once the meatballs are heated through and covered with the sweet and spicy sauce, transfer them to a serving dish and enjoy! They make a perfect appetizer or even a fun main dish served over rice.

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper to control the heat level according to your preference.
  • Use pre-cooked homemade meatballs if desired, but ensure they are fully cooked before adding to the sauce.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
