Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of store-bought mayonnaise. This is your creamy foundation.
  • Stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of Sriracha, depending on how spicy you want your aioli. Start with one tablespoon and adjust to taste.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice to the mixture. This will help cut through the richness of the mayonnaise and brighten up the flavors.
  • Finely grate 1 garlic clove and mix it into the bowl, ensuring it’s well incorporated for that distinct garlicky flavor.
  • Sprinkle in a pinch of kosher salt, tasting as you go to achieve the perfect seasoning.
  • Use a whisk or spatula to mix everything until smooth and creamy. Make sure there are no lumps and the color is a beautiful pinkish hue from the Sriracha.
  • For the best flavor, let your aioli chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully.

Notes

  • Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter, tangy version.
  • Substitute half the mayonnaise with avocado for creaminess and healthy fats.
  • Adjust the amount of Sriracha to control the spice level.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
  • Do not freeze the aioli as texture may change upon thawing.
