Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Storage bottle

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water filtered or tap
  • 1 cup allulose granulated or powdered
  • 1/8 teaspoon xanthan gum to stabilize and thicken syrup

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of allulose.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir the mixture until the allulose dissolves completely, about a few minutes.
  • Once dissolved, sprinkle in 1/8 teaspoon of xanthan gum while whisking vigorously to thicken the syrup.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature; it will thicken slightly as it cools.
  • Pour the cooled syrup into a clean storage bottle or jar, seal, and store in the refrigerator up to one month.

Notes

  • Adjust thickness by adding more water if syrup is too thick.
  • Increase allulose gradually if syrup is not sweet enough.
  • Shake the bottle gently before use if separation occurs.
