Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This step is crucial to ensure your lasagna bakes perfectly.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, half of the parmesan cheese, kosher salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and set aside.
In your large baking dish, pour the marinara sauce and add 1 cup of water. Stir to combine. This will create a lovely sauce for our noodles to soak up as they cook.
Break the lasagna noodles into approximately 3-inch pieces and sprinkle them evenly over the sauce.
Dollop spoonfuls of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, spreading it out as best as you can. Follow this with a generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and additional marinara sauce.
Continue layering with the remaining broken noodles, ricotta mixture, marinara sauce, and top everything off with the remaining mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil (to keep that gooey cheese from burning) and bake for 30 minutes. After that, remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden.
Once baked, let the lasagna cool for about 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh minced parsley, if desired, and serve warm. Enjoy your effortless, cheesy delight!
