- 4 oz cream cheese softened
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp seasoned salt
- 1 loaf French bread cut 1/2" thick
Method: The Ultimate Grilled Cheese
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and seasoned salt. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined and creamy.
Take a slice of the French bread and spread a generous amount of the cheese mixture on one side. Top with another slice of bread to create a sandwich. Repeat this process for as many sandwiches as you’d like to make.
Preheat your skillet or griddle over medium heat. Allow it to get hot enough so that it can cook the bread evenly and create that beautiful golden crust.
Once the skillet is hot, place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, or until golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.
Once both sides are golden and crispy, remove the sandwiches from the skillet. Let them cool for a minute before slicing them in half. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or a side of tomato soup for the ultimate comfort meal.
