Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Light brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large Eggs, at room temperature

Mix-ins

  • 2 cups Semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Chopped pecans (optional) Can be substituted with other nuts

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Step 3: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  • Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until creamy.
  • Step 5: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla extract.
  • Step 6: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  • Step 7: Fold in the chocolate chips and pecans.
  • Step 8: Pour the dough into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  • Step 9: Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown and set in the center. Let cool before cutting.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
