- 3 pieces Pita Bread or Flat Bread serves as the crispy base
- 1/2 cup Crème Fraîche adds rich and creamy texture to sauce
- 1 tbsp Chunky Garlic from Gourmet Gardens or 2 cloves pressed garlic, for aromatic kick
- 1 tsp Fresh Oregano from Gourmet Gardens or 1 tsp dried oregano, elevates flavor
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese freshly grated, adds nutty flavor and depth
- 1/4 cup Asiago Cheese freshly grated, sharp and tangy twist
- 4 cups Baby Spinach leaves fresh, healthy vibrant topping
- 8 oz Mozzarella fresh, sliced
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure a crispy crust when baking the pitas.
In a mixing bowl, combine the crème fraîche, chunky garlic, and oregano. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
Place the pita bread on a baking sheet. Spread an even layer of the crème fraîche mixture over each pita piece.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan and Asiago cheeses evenly over the crème fraîche layer, then add the fresh spinach leaves on top.
Layer the sliced mozzarella evenly over the spinach topping.
Bake the pita pizzas in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the pita edges are crispy.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
- Use Greek yogurt or ricotta cheese as creamy alternatives to crème fraîche for variation.
- Flatbreads can replace pita bread for a larger pizza base.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven at 350°F for best results.
